Aeroflot Russian Airlines está considerando órdenes de aviones de nueva generación

Aeroflot está considerando un pedido para renovar su parque aeronáutico de 146 A320-200 y 54 Boeing 737-800. Las nuevas propuestas están orientadas a mirar a los Airbus A320NEO y Boeing 737 MAX de fuselaje estrecho, informó un alto ejecutivo este martes.

El Director General Adjunto de Estrategia y Alianzas de Aeroflot, Giorgio Callegari, informó sobre el posible orden en el marco de la Cumbre CAPA Asia 2017. «Probablemente en el próximo año, al menos, sabremos la dirección. Será un orden considerable», dijo, negándose a proporcionar los números estimados. Callegari dijo que Aeroflot quería retener los cuerpos angostos de Airbus y Boeing en su flota porque los usaba en diferentes configuraciones de asientos y no quería depender de un solo fabricante.

Aeroflot, que tiene una edad promedio de la flota de solo 4.1 años. Con las nuevas órdenes la compañía se situará con una flota más moderna en la región y permitiendo mejorar su servicio y ahorros significativos en combustible.

Las condiciones del mercado de la aviación rusa fueron particularmente desafiantes en 2015 y 2016, después de que las sanciones de Estados Unidos y Europa, junto con los débiles precios del petróleo, golpearon la economía rusa y el rublo, matando la demanda del consumidor. La demanda comenzó a recuperarse junto con la economía y Aeroflot se ha beneficiado de su escala y las bancarrotas de las operadoras rusas Transaero en 2015 y VIM Airlines este año.

«El mercado nos está demostrando que tenemos razón y nos ofrece la posibilidad de crecer. Otros no parecen tener un enfoque tan exitoso. Hace que algunos segmentos del mercado sean más accesibles porque dejan de funcionar», expresó Giorgio Callegari

Sin embargo, Aeroflot reportó una caída del 40% en sus ingresos netos. Aeroflot es miembro de la alianza SkyTeam junto con aerolíneas como Delta Air Lines, Air France KLM SA y China Eastern Airlines Corp Ltd. Tiene acuerdos de código compartido con otras aerolíneas, pero aún tiene que acordar un acuerdo de empresa conjunta que le permite coordinar la programación y los precios.
