Samoa Airways ha iniciado el comienzo de sus operaciones uniendo Apia con Auckland

El vuelo inaugural de la nueva compañía Samoa Airways realizó el trayecto entre la capital de la Isla de Samoa, Apia, con Auckland en Nueva Zelanda. El vuelo OL731 de Samoa Airways llegó antes de las 11:00 horas del martes y transportó a dignatarios y pasajeros, incluido el Primer Ministro de Samoa, Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi.

El Gobierno de Samoa anunció en Mayo 2017 que se retiraba de Virgin Samoa, su empresa conjunta con Virgin Australia Holdings. Virgin Australia había anunciado planes de iniciar vuelos desde Auckland a Apia, pero desde entonces el Gobierno de Samoa le negó el permiso para operar la ruta.

Samoa Airways es una aerolínea de servicio completo que ofrece a los pasajeros de clase turista, una comida y 7 kg de equipaje de mano y 23 kg de equipaje despachado. Está equipado con el entretenimiento inalámbrico portátil de AirFi en el vuelo, lo que permite a los pasajeros con sus propios dispositivos ver películas.

Samoa Airways posee un único Boeing 737-800, bajo modalidad de arriendo a Iceland Air. La programación tendrá seis frecuencias semanales de ida y vuelta desde Apia a Auckland y dos veces por semana desde Sidney a Apia.

Icelandair Group tiene experiencia en esta región anteriormente, alquilando aviones a Air Niugini. El 737 llegará a Samoa airways fue repintado en Praga (Repúblilca Checa). Como parte del contrato de arrendamiento, la tripulación técnica y de cabina fueron entrenados y certificados.

Samoa Airways has started the start of its operations by joining Apia with Auckland

The inaugural flight of the new company Samoa Airways made the trip between the capital of the Island of Samoa, Apia, with Auckland in New Zealand. Samoa Airways flight OL731 arrived before 11:00 am on Tuesday and transported dignitaries and passengers, including the Prime Minister of Samoa, Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi.

The Government of Samoa announced in May 2017 that it was withdrawing from Virgin Samoa, its joint venture with Virgin Australia Holdings. Virgin Australia had announced plans to start flights from Auckland to Apia, but since then the Government of Samoa has refused permission to operate the route.

Samoa Airways is a full service airline that offers economy class passengers a meal and 7 kg of carry-on luggage and 23 kg of checked baggage. It is equipped with AirFi’s portable wireless entertainment on the flight, allowing passengers with their own devices to watch movies.

Samoa Airways owns a unique Boeing 737-800, under modality of rent to Iceland Air. The program will have six weekly roundtrip frequencies from Apia to Auckland and twice a week from Sydney to Apia.

Icelandair Group has experience in this region before, renting airplanes to Air Niugini. The 737 will arrive in Samoa airways was repainted in Prague (Czech Republic). As part of the lease, the technical and cabin crew were trained and certified.

Bentley has worked for Polynesian Airlines, a predecessor of the new airline, and for the tourism authority of Samoa. Tourism in Samoa is working hard.
