Para su primer vuelo de prueba, el A330NEO sobrevoló las instalaciones de Airbus en Toulouse antes de aterrizar en Blagnac

El Airbus A330NEO con reactores Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 ha iniciado el primer vuelo desde el Aeropuerto Blagnac, en Francia. El nuevo derivado de la familia A330 tendrá un consumo de combustible menor en un 10% y los costos de operación en un 14%. Según el fabricante europeo de aviones, «los costos operativos directos por asiento en el A33NEO serán los más bajos del 15% de aquellos en el B787». Y un A330NEO aparece en U$D 290 millones de dólares en el mostrador de catálogo de precios de U$D 312 millones para un B787 Dreamliner. Este verano, TAP Air Portugal recibirá la primera copia de este nuevo aspecto A330.

El A330NEO ha realizado con éxito las pruebas del primer vuelo programado el día 12 Noviembre 2017. El segundo, estará disponible en este mes, después de inspecciones sistemáticas de los principales componentes del avión.
