El Aeropuerto Rosario continúa con las obras proyectadas con miras a mayor conectividad

Esperando cerrar el 2017 con un nuevo récord en el tránsito de pasajeros, desde el directorio del Aeropuerto Internacional Rosario «Islas Malvinas» celebran la sumatoria de nuevas frecuencias y con esfuerzo intentan avanzar en la reconfiguración del complejo para atender la demanda, a la que por ahora siguen desde atrás en cuanto a infraestructura instalada.

Los meses finales del año encuentran a la terminal de Fisherton en plena obra para aumentar la superficie de plataforma que le permita incrementar el número de posiciones para el estacionamiento de aeronaves, acaban de anunciar la licitación de la primera fase de la ampliación de la terminal y durante el verano instalarán nueva tecnología para agilizar el proceso de check in antes de la salida de un vuelo. Paralelamente, en la última semana la compañía brasileña Azul confirmó el inicio de operaciones a Rosario, desde el 24 de marzo, por una frecuencia semanal desde y hacia Recife, en el extremo norte de Brasil, permitiendo conectar una decena de puntos turísticos que operan todo el año.

La febril actividad de cara al verano encuentra a la terminal de Fisherton en medio de un importante plan de ampliación de infraestructura, una necesidad planteada por gran cantidad de usuarios a partir de inconvenientes que en los últimos dos años y de manera ocasional perjudicaron la salida de algunos vuelos.

Hace poco más de una semana, el gobernador Miguel Lifschitz presidió el anuncio formal de la apertura de la licitación para construir 11.500 metros cuadrados cubiertos de terminal que se levantarán en el área contigua de las dependencias actuales que hoy apenas llegan a 11 mil metros cuadrados. «El 22 de diciembre está estipulado que se abran las ofertas económicas para levantar el nuevo edificio», dijo Gabenara Boero.

El proyecto, diseñado por la Unidad de Proyectos Especiales de la Provincia de Santa Fe -perteneciente al Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Vivienda-, contempla la construcción de un nuevo sector para la atención de vuelos internacionales, asumiendo los nuevos requerimientos y prestaciones que debe brindar una terminal aeroportuaria contemporánea, con un presupuesto oficial de $ 946.000.000 y una demanda de 18 meses de ejecución.

Desde octubre, además, se iniciaron los trabajos de duplicación de la plataforma comercial con un monto superior a los $ 600.000.000. Los mismos contemplan elevar el área de estacionamiento de aeronaves a 69.000 metros cuadrados. Dicha intervención determinará el cierre de las operaciones durante un día y medio. El cese está previsto desde las 12 del mediodía del día martes 28 de noviembre hasta las 23.59 del miércoles 29 de noviembre. En esa franja horaria todos las conexiones desde y hacia Rosario serán canceladas y habrá vuelos reprogramados. La suspensión de actividades en la terminal coincidirá con la intervención sobre las losas adyacentes a la calle de rodaje Bravo y el cruce con la pista.

Durante la demolición y reconstrucción de las mismas, se dejarán previstos los cañeros y tachos de iluminación del eje central de la calle de rodaje para la instalación futura de un nuevo ILS que permita elevar la categoría del aeropuerto y minimice la interrupción de los vuelos a causa de la niebla.

El nuevo escenario nacional ha permitido efectuar las inversiones necesarias para ponerse acorde a la «Revolución de los Aviones». El Aeropuerto Internacional Rosario incrementará significativamente la oferta nacional e internaciones posicionándose como uno de los aeropuertos con más tráfico en la República Argentina.
