La quiebra de Alas Uruguay dejará una deuda de U$D 22 millones de dólares

El fin de Alas Uruguay llega con la noticia judicial de la quiebra formal de la aerolínea. El Gobierno de Uruguay había invertido alrededor de U$D 25 millones de dólares en el proyecto para subplantar la necesidad de tener una línea aérea después del vacío dejado por BQB Líneas Aéreas. El grupo inversor Fondes otorgó unos U$D 15 millones de dólares y otros U$D 10 millones de dólares por el seguro de paro que tuvo varias extensiones desde 2012 a 2015. El patrimonio de la compañía era de U$D 450.000 dólares

Alas Uruguay buscaba financiación de un nuevo inversor ante un inminente cierre. La empresa comunicó en Octubre de 2016 a los 170 empleados que la aerolínea dejaba de volar. El concurso se decretó ocho meses después 12 de Mayo 2017, luego se le comunicó a los acreedores y se presentó el inventario. Entre los acreedores de esa deuda de U$D 22 millones hay empleados, prestadores de servicios y el principal perjudicado que es el Fondes, al que Alas Uruguay le debe U$D 16 millones de dólares.
