WestJet launches a new regional air service in western Canada
WestJet Airlines Ltd. has announced a new brand, WestJet Link, for operations on lower demand routes. It has introduced a new regional air service in western Canada that operates under a capacity purchase agreement with Pacific Coastal Airlines Ltd., based in British Columbia.
The new partnership with Pacific Coastal Airlines, which will allow the smallest airline to operate a series of routes such as WestJet brand flights, through a Capacity Purchase Agreement (CPA).
WestJet Link will connect its service network from the Calgary International Airport (CYYC / YYC). All WestJet Link flights will be operated by Pacific Coastal using its fleet of 34-seat Saab 340B aircraft, the airline said. All Pacific Coastal aircraft fleet will be painted in the colors of WestJet Link.

As of March 7, 2018, the 34-seat Saab 340B aircraft, operated by Pacific Coastal Airlines and painted with WestJet colors, will connect the Calgary center of WestJet with Lethbridge (AB); Lloydminster (BC); Medicine Hat (AB); Cranbrook (BC); and Prince George (BC). Each WestJet Link aircraft will also include six seats on WestJet Plus, offering guests advanced boarding, two complimentary bags and seats at the front of the plane.
