Xfly arrendará aviones Embraer 190 a su flota
Regional Jet, una subsidiaria de la compañía estatal estonia Nordic Aviation Group, anunció el Viernes 28/02 una expansión de su flota con siete aviones Embraer E190 revelando un renombre de la compañía denominada Xfly junto con un cambio de su librea corporativa.
La flota actual de Xfly incluye 23 aviones, la reciente decisión de emprender la mayor expansión en la historia de la compañía, y la aviación de Estonia, aumentará la flota en siete aviones Embraer en los próximos seis meses. Cuatro de los siete aviones adicionales servirán las rutas desde Tallin a Estocolmo, Bruselas y Varsovia, operados por LOT Polish Airlines. Los nuevos aviones también se utilizarán para reemplazar algunos de los aviones CRJ-900 más antiguos.
Jan Palmer, CEO de Xfly, dijo que la adición de un nuevo tipo de avión representa un gran paso adelante para la compañía, lo que le permite proporcionar a sus clientes una solución integral en las operaciones de vuelo, que comienza este verano. «Ahora somos una compañía única en el mercado de la aviación europea, con la capacidad de proporcionar servicios a las aerolíneas con tres tipos diferentes de aeronaves, incluidos los turbopropulsores ATR 72-600 y los aviones de reacción CRJ-900 y Embraer 190/195. Nuevo rebranding
La expansión se basa en la adopción de la nueva marca, lo que proporciona claridad sobre el papel y la posición de la compañía en el sector de la aviación. Si bien Regional Jet es, además de ser el nombre de la compañía, un término asociado con los aviones a reacción que vuelan entre regiones, Xfly también utiliza turbopropulsores para proporcionar sus servicios y, por lo tanto, la palabra Jet en la antigua marca era algo engañoso. «Como tenemos la intención de comenzar a ofrecer conexiones de vuelo más largas a nuestros clientes, la palabra ‘Regional’ pronto se convertirá en un reflejo obsoleto del perfil comercial real de la compañía. La adopción de la nueva marca contribuirá a nuestro fuerte crecimiento», dijo Palmer. Agregó que los cambios no afectarán el nombre legal de la compañía: Regional Jet OU.
Xfly ofrece servicios integrales de vuelo a largo plazo, incluyendo tripulaciones y especialistas, pero no está expuesto a riesgos comerciales, ya que su rentabilidad no depende de la venta de boletos. La compañía dijo que la adición de los siete aviones dará como resultado la creación de casi 200 nuevos empleos en Estonia y Europa. Según el plan de crecimiento a cinco años de Xfly, la compañía tiene la intención de operar cerca de 50 aviones en 2025.
La semana pasada, Xfly y el Aeropuerto Tallin firmaron un acuerdo para la construcción de un hangar de mantenimiento de aeronaves de 2.300 metros cuadrados en la propiedad del aeropuerto. El nuevo edificio se ubicará al norte de la pista y será lo suficientemente grande como para acomodar un avión del tamaño de un Airbus 321.

Xfly will lease Embraer 190 aircraft to its fleet
Regional Jet, a subsidiary of the Estonian state company Nordic Aviation Group, announced on Friday 28/02 an expansion of its fleet with seven Embraer E190 aircraft revealing popularity of the company called Xfly along with a change in its corporate livery.
The current Xfly fleet includes 23 aircraft, the recent decision to undertake the largest expansion in the company’s history, and Estonian aviation, will increase the fleet by seven Embraer aircraft in the next six months. Four of the seven additional aircraft will serve routes from Tallinn to Stockholm, Brussels, and Warsaw, operated by LOT Polish Airlines. The new aircraft will also be used to replace some of the older CRJ-900 aircraft.
Jan Palmer, CEO of Xfly, said the addition of a new type of aircraft represents a great step forward for the company, allowing it to provide its customers with a comprehensive solution in flight operations, which begins this summer. «We are now a unique company in the European aviation market, with the ability to provide services to airlines with three different types of aircraft, including ATR 72-600 turboprops and CRJ-900 and Embraer 190/195 jet aircraft This will give a significant boost to our competitiveness throughout Europe. The second equally significant aspect is that it will soon allow Estonians to fly from Tallinn to several destinations on larger and more comfortable planes», Palmer said.
New rebranding
The expansion is based on the adoption of the new brand, which provides clarity about the role and position of the company in the aviation sector. While Regional Jet is, in addition to being the name of the company, a term associated with jet aircraft that fly between regions, Xfly also uses turboprops to provide its services and, therefore, the word Jet in the old brand was something misleading. «As we intend to start offering longer flight connections to our customers, the word ‘Regional’ will soon become an obsolete reflection of the company’s real commercial profile. The adoption of the new brand will contribute to our strong growth», said Palmer. He added that the changes will not affect the legal name of the company: Regional Jet OU.
Xfly offers comprehensive long-term flight services, including crews and specialists, but is not exposed to commercial risks, since its profitability does not depend on the sale of tickets. The company said the addition of the seven planes will result in the creation of almost 200 new jobs in Estonia and Europe. According to Xfly’s five-year growth plan, the company intends to operate about 50 planes in 2025.
Last week, Xfly and Tallinn Airport signed an agreement for the construction of an aircraft maintenance hangar of 2,300 square meters on the airport property. The new building will be located north of the runway and will be large enough to accommodate an airplane the size of an Airbus 321.

Xfly rendib oma lennukipargile Embraer 190 lennukeid
Eesti riigiettevõtte Nordic Aviation Group tütarettevõte Regional Jet teatas reedel, 28. veebruaril oma lennukipargi laiendamisest seitsme Embraer E190 lennukiga, mis näitab ettevõtte Xfly nime kandva ettevõtte populaarsust koos muutusega ettevõtte ärilises osas.
Praeguses Xfly lennukipargis on 23 lennukit, hiljutine otsus viia läbi ettevõtte ajaloo suurim laiendus ning Eesti lennundus suurendab järgmise kuue kuu jooksul lennukiparki seitsme Embraeri lennukiga. Seitsmest lisalennukist neli teenindab LOT Polish Airlinesi käitatavaid marsruute Tallinnast Stockholmi, Brüsselisse ja Varssavisse. Uue lennukiga hakatakse asendama ka mõnda vanemat CRJ-900 lennukit.
Xfly tegevjuht Jan Palmer ütles, et uut tüüpi lennukitüübi lisamine on ettevõtte jaoks suur samm edasi, võimaldades sel pakkuda oma klientidele terviklikku lahendust lennutegevuse alal, mis algab sel suvel. «Oleme nüüd Euroopa lennundusturul ainulaadne ettevõte, kellel on võimalus osutada teenuseid lennuettevõtjatele kolme erinevat tüüpi õhusõidukitega, sealhulgas turbopropellerid ATR 72-600 ja CRJ-900 ning reaktiivlennukid Embraer 190/195. See annab olulise tõuke meie konkurentsivõimele kogu Euroopas. Teine sama oluline aspekt on see, et see võimaldab peagi eestlastel lennata Tallinnast mitmesse sihtkohta suuremate ja mugavamate lennukitega, «sõnas Palmer.
Uus kaubamärgivahetus
Laiendamine põhineb uue kaubamärgi kasutuselevõtul, mis annab selguse ettevõtte rolli ja positsiooni kohta lennundussektoris. Kui Regional Jet on lisaks ettevõtte nimele ka termin, mis on seotud piirkondade vahel lendavate reaktiivlennukitega, siis Xfly kasutab oma teenuste osutamiseks ka turbopropellereid ja seetõttu oli vanas kaubamärgis sõna Jet midagi eksitavat. «Kuna kavatseme hakata klientidele pakkuma pikemaid lennuühendusi, muutub sõna» Regional peagi ettevõtte tegeliku äriprofiili aegunuks peegelduseks. Uue kaubamärgi kasutuselevõtt aitab kaasa meie tugevale kasvule», ütles Palmer. Ta lisas, et muudatused ei mõjuta ettevõtte juriidilist nime: Regional Jet OU.
Xfly pakub terviklikke pikaajalisi lennuteenuseid, sealhulgas meeskondi ja spetsialiste, kuid ei ole äriliste riskidega kokku puutunud, kuna tema kasumlikkus ei sõltu piletite müügist. Ettevõtte sõnul loob seitsme lennukiga liitumine Eestis ja Euroopas peaaegu 200 uut töökohta. Xfly viieaastase kasvuplaani kohaselt kavatseb ettevõte 2025. aastal käitada umbes 50 lennukit.
Eelmisel nädalal sõlmisid Xfly ja Tallinna lennujaam lepingu 2300 ruutmeetri suuruse lennukite hooldusangaari ehitamiseks lennujaama kinnistule. Uus hoone asub rajast põhja pool ja on piisavalt suur, et sinna mahuks Airbus 321 suurune lennuk.
