Mitsubishi Aircraft completa su primer vuelo de certificación SpaceJet M90
La japonesa Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation ha comunicado el Miércoles 18 Marzo 2020 que completó el Primer Vuelo de Prueba de Certificación de su SpaceJet M90, Flight Test Vehicle 10 (FTV10), llevando el avión regional un paso más cerca de las operaciones comerciales. “Marca el comienzo de las pruebas de vuelo de certificación para el primer SpaceJet M90 en la configuración final y certificable”, dijo Alex Bellamy, Director de Desarrollo de Mitsubishi Aircraft en un comunicado de prensa.
El M90 FTV10 despegó a las 14:53 (JST) del Aeropuerto Prefectural Nagoya y realizó pruebas básicas de rendimiento de la aeronave en condiciones normales de operación sobre el Océano Pacífico. Después de aproximadamente dos horas de vuelo, el avión aterrizó de regreso en Nagoya a las 16:40 (JST). La aeronave FTV10 ha completado con éxito este vuelo de prueba. Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation está lista para entrar en la fase final de las pruebas de vuelo de certificación para el SpaceJet M90, el primer avión jet comercial fabricado en Japón.
“Estoy muy contento de que FTV10, que fue entregado por Mitsubishi Heavy Industries en enero de este año, realizó con éxito su primer vuelo hoy. Alex Bellamy, Director de Desarrollo de Mitsubishi Aircraft, dijo: “El anuncio de hoy es especialmente alentador, ya que marca el inicio de las pruebas de vuelo de certificación para el primer SpaceJet M90 en la configuración final y certificable. Hiroyoshi Takase, el Capitán a bordo del primer vuelo de FTV10, comentó: “La prueba de vuelo de hoy se realizó sin problemas y de acuerdo con el plan. La aeronave cumplió con las expectativas y se manejó tal como lo anticipé”.
Mitsubishi Aircraft planea en las próximas semanas continuar con las pruebas de vuelo en FTV10 en Nagoya, mientras se prepara para el vuelo en ferry al Moses Lake Flight Test Center (MFC) para unirse al resto de la flota de pruebas de Mitsubishi SpaceJet M90 para la fase final del tipo prueba de vuelo de certificación.
Pedidos M90
El SpaceJet M90 ya había obtenido 167 pedidos en firme, incluido uno del operador regional con sede en Utah, SkyWest. Está esperando 100 M90 con la opción de otros 100. Mitsubishi también ha recibido pedidos de ANA, Japan Airlines y varias empresas de arrendamiento financiero.
La entrega del primer avión de pasajeros de Japón en medio siglo se ha retrasado seis veces debido a que Mitsubishi Aircraft y su principal accionista, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd, han competido con una serie de errores de diseño. El jet regional había sido programado para entrar en servicio con el operador japonés ANA Airlines en 2013. Mitsubishi Aircraft completes its first SpaceJet M90 certification flight
Japan’s Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation has reported on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, that it completed the First Certification Test Flight of its SpaceJet M90, Flight Test Vehicle 10 (FTV10), taking the regional aircraft one step closer to business operations. “It marks the beginning of certification flight tests for the first SpaceJet M90 in the final, certifiable configuration”, said Alex Bellamy, Director of Development for Mitsubishi Aircraft in a press release.
The M90 FTV10 took off at 2:53 p.m. (JST) from Nagoya Prefectural Airport and conducted basic performance tests of the aircraft under normal operating conditions over the Pacific Ocean. After approximately two hours of flight, the plane landed back in Nagoya at 16:40 (JST). The FTV10 aircraft has successfully completed this test flight. Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation is ready to enter the final phase of certification flight tests for the SpaceJet M90, the first commercial jet aircraft made in Japan.
“I am very pleased that FTV10, which was delivered by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in January this year, successfully completed its first flight today. I would like to express my deepest thanks to all those who continually support the program. We are excited about the latter step in the certification of the Mitsubishi SpaceJet M90”, said Hisakazu Mizutani, president of Mitsubishi Aircraft.
Alex Bellamy, Director of Development for Mitsubishi Aircraft, said: “Today’s announcement is especially encouraging as it marks the start of certification flight testing for the first SpaceJet M90 in final and certifiable configuration. We are proud of the latter achievement, reflecting the hard work of a dedicated team, the culmination of an organizational transformation, and all the engineering changes made since 2016. We look forward to continuing our progress toward commercial certification of the M90 program”.
Hiroyoshi Takase, the Captain aboard the first FTV10 flight, commented: “Today’s flight test went smoothly and according to plan. The aircraft met expectations and was handled as I anticipated”.
Mitsubishi Aircraft plans in the coming weeks to continue flight testing on FTV10 in Nagoya, as it prepares for the ferry flight to the Moses Lake Flight Test Center (MFC) to join the rest of the Mitsubishi SpaceJet M90 test fleet for the final phase of the certification flight test type.
M90 orders
The SpaceJet M90 had already obtained 167 firm orders, including one from Utah-based regional operator SkyWest. It is waiting for 100 M90 with the option of another 100. Mitsubishi has also received orders from ANA, Japan Airlines and various financial leasing companies.
The delivery of Japan’s first passenger jet in half a century has been delayed six times as Mitsubishi Aircraft and its main shareholder, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd, have competed with a series of design errors. The regional jet had been scheduled to enter service with Japanese operator ANA Airlines in 2013. Its most recent delivery date to launch customer All Nippon Airways (ANA) was to coincide with the Tokyo Olympics, which were due to start on 24 July 2020. However, the program has suffered many delays and is now aiming to start deliveries in April 2021.
Once the M90 is on the market, Mitsubishi Aircraft has stated that it will focus on the SpaceJet M100, designed specifically for the requirements of the United States Scope Clause, and has already obtained an order from regional airline Mesa Airlines for 50 aircraft.

M90注文
SpaceJet M90は、ユタ州に本拠を置く地域事業者SkyWestからの注文を含め、すでに167件の確定注文を取得していました。別の100のオプションで100 M90を待っています。三菱は、ANA、日本航空、およびさまざまな金融リース会社からも注文を受けています。
