The Boeing Company realizó hel 30 abril 2020 un primer vuelo productivo y exitoso del segundo avión Boeing 777-9X. El Capitán Ted Grady, piloto del proyecto 777X, y el Capitán Van Chaney, Piloto Jefe del 777/777X, volaron durante 2 horas y 58 minutos sobre el Estado de Washington antes de aterrizar en el Boeing Field de Seattle a las 02:02 p.m. Pacífico. Designado WH002, este avión es el segundo de cuatro en una flota de prueba de vuelo dedicada y probará las características de manejo y otros aspectos del rendimiento del avión. Una variedad de equipos, sensores y dispositivos de monitoreo en toda la cabina permite al equipo a bordo documentar y evaluar la respuesta del avión a las condiciones de prueba en tiempo real.
El plan de prueba del Programa 777X presenta una serie completa de pruebas y condiciones en el suelo y en el aire para demostrar la seguridad y fiabilidad del diseño. Hasta la fecha, las tripulaciones han volado el primer avión casi 100 horas en una variedad de configuraciones de flaps, velocidades, altitudes y configuraciones del sistema como parte de la evaluación inicial del sobre del vuelo. The test fleet expands as the robust test program progresses
The Boeing Company conducted a successful and productive first flight of the second Boeing 777-9X aircraft on April 30, 2020. Captain Ted Grady, pilot of the 777X project, and Captain Van Chaney, Chief Pilot of the 777/777X, flew for 2 hours and 58 minutes over Washington State before landing at Seattle’s Boeing Field at 02:02 p.m. Peaceful. Designated WH002, this aircraft is 
the second of four in a dedicated flight test fleet and will test handling characteristics and other aspects of aircraft performance. A variety of equipment, sensors, and monitoring devices throughout the cabin allow on-board equipment to document and assess the aircraft’s response to test conditions in real time.
The 777X Program test plan presents a complete series of tests and conditions in the ground and in the air to demonstrate the safety and reliability of the design. To date, crews have flown the first aircraft nearly 100 hours in a variety of flap settings, speeds, altitudes, and system settings as part of the initial flight envelope assessment. With the initial airworthiness now demonstrated, the team can safely add personnel to monitor tests on-board rather than relying solely on a ground-based telemetry station, unlocking tests at greater distances.
The 777X Program includes the 777-8 and 777-9, which are the newest members of Boeing’s market-leading widebody family.
