Aerolíneas más seguras del mundo para 2021
AirlineRatings.com ha anunciado el listado de las compañías aéreas para 2021 con el mayor índice de seguridad en el mundo. El monitoreo de las 385 compañías aéreas de todo el mundo permiten medir factores como los registros de accidentes y incidentes graves de las aerolíneas, y la edad de sus aviones, realizando una evaluación de los índices de seguridad de las líneas aéreas a través del mundo. “El desafío de este año fue el número de aerolíneas que volaban, aunque nuestras veinte aerolíneas más seguras han seguido volando o han tenido un cese limitado de los vuelos”, expresó el Jefe de AirlineRatings, Geoffrey Thomas.
Para 2021, el sitio web de revisión de productos y seguridad de las aerolíneas adjudicó a la aerolínea australiana Qantas Airways como el mejor lugar. AirlineRatings destacó el compromiso de Qantas de volver a entrenar a los pilotos antes de un regreso al servicio después de tiempo fuera durante la pandemia. AirlineRatings encontró que un piloto de Qantas 737 debe someterse a un curso de seis días antes de regresar a los cielos, incluyendo un día centrado en el bienestar.

World’s safest airlines by 2021
AirlineRatings.com has announced the list of airlines for 2021 with the highest safety index in the world. Qantas held the title of the safest airline in the world from 2014 to 2017. In 2018, AirlineRatings said it could not find a clear winner and chose to rank its top 20 equally, but once again in 2019 and 2020 Qantas was crowned as the safest air carrier in the world. On some previous occasions, AirlineRatings has chosen its winner and then listed the rest of the best airlines alphabetically. But by 2021, the website has ranked each of the top twenty airlines in numerical order. Qantas Airways is crowned in 2021 as the safest airline in the world. Qatar Airways is ranked number two, while Air New Zealand, Singapore Airlines and Emirates round out the top five.
The classification system was slightly adjusted this year, to allow for greater precision. “Over the last two years we have become aware that some airlines, which had passed biannual safety audits, were not on a day-to-day basis following the operational disciplines required by the auditors”, said Geoffrey Thomas. AirlineRatings also examined fraudulent airline pilot license scams and bribery allegations, Thomas added. As a result, they decided to make a five-year audit of serious security incidents to reduce the top 20. “Accidents and incidents account for five of our seven-star rating with audits representing one and Covid-19 compliance is the final star for a maximum seven-star ranking”, says Geoffrey Thomas.
