Gobierno de Chile anuncia exclusión empresas rusas en FIDAE 2022
“Debido a la agresión a Ucrania por parte de Rusia, y que fuera condenada por nuestro país (…) el Gobierno de Chile a las empresas rusas que iban a participar en la Feria Internacional del Aire y del Espacio que se realizará en nuestro país entre el 5 y 10 de Abril próximo”, señala un comunicado del Ministerio de Defensa. A más de una semana tras inicio de la invasión rusa a Ucrania, sigue escalando a nivel mundial la tensión por las consecuencias económicas y políticas que han comenzado a desatarse de forma paralela al conflicto bélico. A esto se han sumado las fuertes sanciones impuestas por los países miembros de la OTAN y la Unión Europea, así como los vetos comerciales de distintas empresas alrededor del mundo, que poco a poco han comenzado a aislar al Kremlin de la actividad internacional.
En ese contexto es que el Ministerio de Defensa de Chile emitió un comunicado este sábado para dar cuenta de la determinación de sumarse a estos vetos, al excluir a compañías aéreas rusas de la Feria Internacional del Aire y del Espacio (FIDAE). El mismo comunicado detalla que la FIDAE es un evento organizado por la Fuerza Aérea de Chile que congrega a expositores de más de 40 países y es considerada la feria aeroespacial y de Defensa más importante de Latinoamérica, así como una de las cinco principales en el mundo.

“Due to the aggression against Ukraine by Russia, and that it was condemned by our country (…) the Government of Chile to the Russian companies that were going to participate in the International Air and Space Fair that will be held in our country between next April 5 and 10”, says a statement from the Ministry of Defense. More than a week after the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, tension continues to escalate worldwide due to the economic and political consequences that have begun to be unleashed in parallel with the war. To this have been added the strong sanctions imposed by the member countries of NATO and the European Union, as well as the commercial vetoes of different companies around the world, which little by little have begun to isolate the Kremlin from international activity.
In this context, the Chilean Ministry of Defense issued a statement this Saturday to account for the decision to join these vetoes, by excluding Russian airlines from the International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE). The same statement details that FIDAE is an event organized by the Chilean Air Force that brings together exhibitors from more than 40 countries and is considered the most important aerospace and defense fair in Latin America, as well as one of the top five in the world.
