La Administración Federal de Aviación de Estados Unidos (FAA) ha comenzado la evaluación del sector de la aviación de Nigeria con una visita a la Autoridad de Aviación Civil de Nigeria (NCAA) en el día de ayer

A FAA team of four arrived over the weekend from Nigeria to conduct the August 21-25, 2017 audit, according to NCAA spokesman Sam Adurogboye.
Members of the team are Louis A. Alvarez, Team Leader, LP Vanstory, Operations Specialist, Benjamin Garrido, Airworthiness Specialist and Jeffrey Klang, Lawyer.
The NCAA said that FAA officials will evaluate state aviation legislation, regulation, and oversight capability in accordance with the eight critical elements defined in ICAO document 9734. The team would need to visit the facilities of an owner of an Airline Operator (AOC). Oversees operations and maintenance organizations. At the end of the evaluation, there will be an information session at NCAA headquarters, the regulatory authority said. Upon approval of the certification, the FAA would renew the Category I Security Status, which it awarded to Nigeria in August 2010, when the country was able to meet its stringent safety standards.
