Avianca incorporó a su flota su primer Airbus A321NEO en Latinoamérica

Avianca incorporó a su flota un avión Airbus A321NEO, lo que la convierte en la primera aerolínea latinoamericana en operar un aparato de este tipo, informó hoy esa compañía.

El presidente Ejecutivo de Avianca, Hernán Rincón, citado en un comunicado de la compañía: «Con esta aeronave, Avianca ratifica su liderazgo en tecnología y servicio, ofreciendo a los viajeros mayor comodidad y más facilidades de entretenimiento a bordo».

La nueva aeronave de Avianca realizó su vuelo ferry a Colombia desde Hamburgo (Alemania). El A321NEO adquirido por Avianca, cuenta con la tecnología «New Engine Option», que permite un ahorro hasta del 20% en combustible, reduce hasta un 50% la huella acústica y disminuye en 5.000 toneladas la emisión de dióxido de carbono por avión. Cuenta «con un sistema de entretenimiento a bordo de última generación, que facilita la navegación a través de pantallas más sensibles al tacto», añadió la compañía en un comunicado.

La configuración del nuevo A321NEO es de 195 pax, 12 en clase ejecutiva y 183 en clase económica. En clase ejecutiva ofrece mayor espacio entre asientos con más de 40 pulgadas de espacio siendo una de las mejores soluciones ergonómicas en el mercado de aeronaves de este tipo.

El A321NEO cuenta también con un sistema de entretenimiento a bordo de última generación, que facilita la navegación a través de pantallas más sensibles al tacto. De este modo, cada pasajero puede acceder fácilmente a la programación de su agrado, así como a conexión a puertos USB para dispositivos móviles.

Según el presidente de Airbus para Latinoamérica y el Caribe, Rafael Alonso, «el A321NEO permitirá a la aerolínea colombiana llevar más pasajeros, más lejos, con los más altos niveles de eficiencia» y es el que «mejor se ajusta a las iniciativas de expansión de Avianca».

La aerolínea colombiana Avianca expresó que ewl A321NEO se empleará ten sus aerolíneas subsidiarias. El nuevo avión A321NEO tiene asignadas rutas al interior de Colombia y hacia Perú, permitiendo incrementar las frecuencias de vuelo a mercados de alta demanda en estos países.

Avianca added an Airbus A321NEO to its fleet, making it the first Latin American airline to operate such an aircraft, the company said today.

The new Avianca aircraft made its ferry flight to Colombia from Hamburg (Germany).
