Virgin Atlantic Airways volará a República Guyana
Virgin Atlantic Airways está interesada en volar la ruta aérea entre el Reino Unido y la República de Guyana. El nuevo destino está impulsado por el Gobierno de Guyana con la proyección del enlace para el próximo año 2020.
El Ministro de Infraestructura Pública de Guyana, David Patterson, confirmó que ha mantenido conversaciones con un alto funcionario de la aerolínea británica. «Estaban en una llamada de Skype para mí y para el Ministro de Finanzas, al venir aquí … Este era el Director de la aerolínea con supervisión de las rutas. Iba a una reunión y le gustaría saber cuál es la posición de Guyana, diciendo que le gustaría poner a Guyana en su ruta para 2020”, dijo Patterson.
Guyana en el radar
American Airlines expandirá su servicio a Guyana a partir de Diciembre 2019. Las aerolíneas estadounidenses JetBlue Airways y United Airlines también han expresado su interés en el mercado de Guyana. Virgin Atlantic Airways ha programado vuelos a Barbados y otros destinos del Caribe, Guyana no cuenta con ningún servicio transatlántico de línea aérea directa desde ningún país europeo.
Las autoridades han expresado que con el comienzo de la exploración comercial de petróleo en 2020, Guyana podría convertirse en un interés para varias aerolíneas internacionales.
Proyección turística
Guyana, un país en la costa del Atlántico de América del Sur, se define por su densa selva tropical. De habla inglesa, con música de cricket y calipso, está culturalmente conectado con la región del Caribe. Su capital, Georgetown, es conocida por la arquitectura colonial británica, incluida la catedral anglicana de San Jorge, de madera pintada y alta. Un gran reloj marca la fachada del Mercado de Stabroek, una fuente de productos locales.
El aumento de las líneas aéreas europeas y americanas pondría a Guyana en el mapa aéreo con mejores conexiones y servicios incrementando el turismo desarrollado en este país exótico de Sudamérica.

Virgin Atlantic Airways is interested in flying the air route between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Guyana. The new destination is driven by the Government of Guyana with the projection of the link for the next year 2020.
The Minister of Public Infrastructure of Guyana, David Patterson, confirmed that he has had talks with a senior British airline official. «They were on a Skype call for me and for the Minister of Finance, coming here … This was the Director of the airline with route supervision. Guyana on the radar
American Airlines will expand its service to Guyana from December 2019. The American airlines JetBlue Airways and United Airlines have also expressed interest in the Guyana market. Virgin Atlantic Airways has scheduled flights to Barbados and other Caribbean destinations, Guyana does not have any transatlantic direct airline service from any European country.
Authorities have said that with the beginning of commercial oil exploration in 2020, Guyana could become an interest for several international airlines.
Tourist projection
Guyana, a country on the Atlantic coast of South America, is defined by its dense rainforest. English-speaking, with cricket and calypso music, it is culturally connected to the Caribbean region. Its capital, Georgetown, is known for British colonial architecture, including St. George’s Anglican Cathedral, painted and tall wood. A large clock marks the facade of the Stabroek Market, a source of local products.
The increase in European and American airlines would put Guyana on the air map with better connections and services, increasing tourism developed in this exotic country in South America. A \ W
