La FAA ha comunicado que vuelo recertificación del Boeing 737 MAX podría llegar en pocas semanas
El Jefe de la Administración Federal de Aviación (FAA) de Estados Unidos, Stephen Dickson, ha comunicado este Jueves 5 Marzo 2020 que existe la posibilidad de recertificación para el Boeing 737 MAX en unas pocas semanas, lo que representaría un hito clave para el regreso del avión en conflicto. “Estamos trabajando en los últimos problemas de revisión de software y documentación, y luego creo que en unas pocas semanas deberíamos ver un vuelo de certificación”, dijo el Administrador de la FAA en una conferencia de aviación en Washington.
A principios de Febrero 2020, la FAA había comunicado que los vuelos de certificación del Boeing 737 MAX comenzarán en las próximas semanas y que los reguladores internacionales de seguridad aérea están cerca de acordar las soluciones finales necesarias antes de que la cuarta generación de aeronaves 737 pueda regresar al servicio. La FAA ha confirmado y actualizado la vigencia de sus dichos este Jueves 05/03, aumentando las expectativas del retorno de uno de los aviones más vendidos en el mundo.
Boeing dijo en su informe del cuarto trimestre (4Q2019) que ve que el 737 MAX regresará a mediados de 2020. Las aerolíneas han cancelado la programación de sus vuelos con las aeronaves Boeing 737 MAX al menos tentativamente hasta Junio 2020.
El Boeing 737 MAX ha estado en tierra durante casi un año después de dos accidentes fatales que mataron a 346 personas en dos accidentes aéreos en Indonesia y Etiopía. El próximo 10 Marzo se complirá el primer aniversario del segundo accidente aéreo de un Boeing 737-8 MAX en Etiopía.
