KLM ha sido galardonada por la FlightStats como la aerolínea más puntual del mundo

KLM, Iberia y su filial Iberia Express son las aerolíneas más puntuales del mundo de en el mes de septiembre 2016, según la consultora estadounidense FlightStats.

KLM fue la aerolínea más puntual del mundo, con una puntualidad del 91,3 % de un total de 20.762 operaciones, seguida por Iberia con el 90,3% de los 17.147 vuelos operados en hora, mientras que Austrian se colocó en el tercer puesto, con un 89,3%.

El cuarto puesto aparece Singapore Airlines, por delante de Delta Airlines, TAM, SAS, Jal, LAN y Qtar Airways, que ocuparon del quinto al décimo lugar por este orden.

De los 32.278 vuelos operados en septiembre por su socia en el grupo aéreo IAG, British Airways (BA), casi el doble que Iberia, un 73,3% aterrizó puntualmente, para situarse en el puesto 33 del ránking.

Iberia Express ocupó el segundo lugar entre las aerolíneas low cost mundiales, con un 92,8% de los 2.947 vuelos operados en hora, por detrás de la chilena Sky Airline, con una puntualidad del 95,1%, y por delante de la brasileña Azul, con una del 92,2%.

Vueling, la menos puntual entre las low cost. Vueling se situó en el puesto 38, con el 65,2% de sus 19.081 vuelos en hora durante el pasado septiembre. Entre las compañías de bajo coste europeas, Iberia Express fue en septiembre la más puntual y la catalana la que menos.

En el ránking de las mayores aerolíneas europeas, encabezado por Finnair, con una puntualidad del 92,5%, Iberia se situó en la tercera posición, mientras que Vueling, en la vigésimo sexta, y Air Europa, en la vigésimo tercera, con un 72,9% de sus 6.917 vuelos en hora.

La lista de las líneas europeas regionales más puntuales fue liderada en septiembre por la canaria Naysa (del grupo Binter), con una puntualidad del 93,7% de sus 2.337 vuelos, en tanto que Iberia Express fue cuarta; Air Nostrum, séptima, con un 89,7% de sus 7.620 operaciones en hora, y Volotea, decimotercera, con un 85,5% de un total de 4.592.
