La tormenta tropical Franklin, continua fortaleciéndose mientras se dirige a la península de Yucatán, México, y se espera que impacte la zona hoy
La sexta tormenta nombrada “Franklin” durante la actual temporada de huracanes en el Atlántico en 2017 está afectando la costa este de México. El movimiento de la tormenta tropical está ubicado a 200 millas del Este-Sureste de Chetumal, México, y se dirige al Oeste-Noroeste con una intensidad entre 10 a 15 millas por hora.
La alerta de huracán fue emitida por el gobierno mexicano para una parte de la Península de Yucatán desde Chetumal a Punta Allen. En dicha alerta no se incluyen lugares como Cancún o Cozumel según explicaron los meteorólogos.
El sistema atmosférico de la tormenta Franklin ha ingresado a la Península de Yucatán este Lunes por la noche. Las advertencias se extienden sobre la mayor parte del resto de la Península de Yucatán donde si se incluye a Cancún y Cozumel. Esperan que los vientos sean de más de 40 millas por hora.
Quienes tiene planificado un vuelo a la zona deberá verificar los itinerarios con las líneas aéreas para estar al tanto de los cambios y cancelaciones. El 80% de todos los huracanes en el Atlántico se desarrollan entre agosto a octubre. 
“Franklin” storm affects Yucatan Peninsula
Tropical storm Franklin continues to strengthen as it heads to the Yucatan peninsula, Mexico, and is expected to impact the area today
The sixth storm named “Franklin” during the current hurricane season in the Atlantic in 2017 is affecting the east coast of Mexico. The tropical storm movement is located 200 miles east-southeast of Chetumal, Mexico, heading west-northwest with an intensity between 10 and 15 miles per hour.
The hurricane alert was issued by the Mexican government for a part of the Yucatan Peninsula from Chetumal to Punta Allen. This alert does not include places like Cancun or Cozumel as explained by the meteorologists.
The atmospheric system of the Franklin storm has entered the Yucatan Peninsula this Monday night. Warnings extend over most of the rest of the Yucatan Peninsula where Cancun and Cozumel are included. They expect the winds to be over 40 miles per hour.
Those who have planned a flight to the area should check the itineraries with the airlines to be aware of the changes and cancellations. 80% of all Atlantic hurricanes occur between August and October. A \ W
