Dentro del plan de renovación de flota Aerolíneas Argentinas incorporará su 30º Boeing 737-800 y los Boeing 737-8 MAX
El próximo Boeing 737-800 para Aerolíneas Argentinas MSN60500/ 6549/6559 con número de registro de test N1786B. Realizó su primer vuelo de test de prueba el 14 agosto de 2017. El Boeing 737-800 llevará la matrícula LV-GVB y arribará pronto a Argentina para incorporarse a su flota, sumando un total de 30 unidades.
Partió desde Renton, WA hacia Spokane, WA para recibir el esquema de pintura del Boeing 737-800 LV-GVB por parte de la empresa International Aerospace Coatings (IAC Ltd), en su división Aircraft Painting Services.
Aerolíneas incorporará en los meses de noviembre 2017 el primer Boeing 737-8 MAX obstentando ser el primer operador latinoamericano de la familia MAX. El primer Boeing 737-8 MAX con matrícula LV-GVD está programado arribo para noviembre 2017. En tanto el segundo Boeing 737-8 MAX con matrícula LV-GVE será incorporado por la empresa en diciembre 2017. Así, Aerolíneas Argentinas pasará a ser el primer operador latinoamericano del Boeing 737 MAX y de la serie MAX 8.
Por otro lado, Aerolíneas Argentinas está acelerando las bajas comerciales de la flota de 10 Boeing 737-700. Boeing 737-7Q8 LV-CYJ (msn 30647/ 1159) partiendo de Argentina el 15 Agosto 2017 cumpliendo el vuelo AR1082, escala en Punta Cana (PUJ) y Miami (MIA) arribando el l18 agosto 2017 a Everett, WA, Estados Unidos.
