Hawaiian Airlines recibió su primer Airbus A321NEO
Airbus ha entregado a Hawaiian Airlines hoy, 27 de octubre, el primer A321NEO proveniente de la cadena de montaje de en Hamburgo.
Con esta aeronave, Hawaiian Airlines podrá utilizar un avión narrowbody de fuselaje estrecho para unir Hawaii con la parte continental de Estados Unidos.
Airbus anunció el traspaso de la aeronave con registro N202HA a Hawaiian Airlines. Aunque la aerolínea esperaba recibir su primer A321NEO, las entregas se retrasaron varios meses debido a que los motores Pratt & Whitney PW1100G adaptados necesitaban modificaciones.
La flota altamente eficiente de 18 aviones A321NEO de Hawaii se usará principalmente para expandir la red de la Costa Oeste de los EE. UU., Con el objetivo de agregar vuelos sin escalas a las islas vecinas. Hawaiian Airlines planea implementar un A321NEO el 8 de Enero de 2017 entre Maui y Oakland. Enlazar Maui y Portland a partir del 18 de Enero, entre Oakland y Lihue el 11 de Abril, y entre Los Ángeles y Kona en el verano boreal de 2018.
