Primer accidente aéreo de Boeing 737 MAX en Indonesia
Un Boeing 737-8 MAX de Lion Air se estrella cerca de Yakarta, capital de Indonesia este Lunes 29 Octubre 2018, la aeronave perdió altura e impactó contra el Mar de Java.
Un Boeing 737-8 MAX de Lion Air, registro PK-LQP que realiza el vuelo JT-610 desde Yakarta a Pangkal Pinang (Indonesia) con 181 pasajeros y 7 tripulantes, estaba saliendo de Yakarta cuando la aeronave alcanzó una altitud máxima de aproximadamente 5400 pies, luego perdió altura, el contacto por radar se perdió a unos 35nm al noreste de Yakarta sobre el mar de Java. Los servicios de rescate se dirigen hacia el lugar del que se sospecha que se estrelló, los primeros barcos llegaron al lugar del accidente y localizaron manchas de petróleo, así como también restos de la aeronave, incluidos teléfonos móviles y primeras partes del cuerpo. Autoridades de Indonesia
Las autoridades indonesias informaron que es cierto que el avión se estrelló al norte de la zona de Karawang en las aguas del mar de Java. Los primeros barcos llegaron al lugar del accidente, la profundidad del agua en el sitio es de unos 30-35 metros. En la superficie había manchas de petróleo y escombros de la aeronave. No se han encontrado sobrevivientes ni cuerpos hasta el momento.
El Ministerio de Transporte de Indonesia informó que un remolcador vio un avión que se estrellaba en el mar de Java. El contacto por radar con la aeronave que transportaba 178 pasajeros, 2 bebés y un bebé, así como dos pilotos y cinco auxiliares de vuelo se perdió en la posición S5.8156 E107.1231. El avión accidentado se registró el 15 Agosto 2018 y recibió su certificado de aeronavegabilidad también el 15 Agosto 2018.

Los BASARNAS de Indonesia están a cargo de la operación de rescate y recuperación y están enviando sus unidades al sitio del presunto accidente.
