El Ministerio de Transporte de Rumania, a cargo de Lucian Bode, anunció que discutirá la posibilidad de entregar EUR 157 millones de euros (US$ 175 millones) a Tarom Airlines con la Comisión Europea en Bruselas. El primer tramo de EUR 47 millones de euros (US$ 52 millones) se empaquetará como ayuda de rescate, y el segundo envío de EUR 110 millones (US$122 millones) se asignará como ayuda de reestructuración. Cerraremos con pérdidas de 190 millones de lei [USD44 millones] este año. Tenemos alrededor de 20 millones de euros disponibles en este momento en la cuenta». También fue su opinión que la flota del transportista necesita atención. «Está claro que necesitamos estandarizar la flota», expresó Lucien Bode.

La nueva ministra, desde fines de octubre, también criticó a la antigua gerencia de la aerolínea, específicamente a la ex directora ejecutiva Madalina Mezei, a quien Bode dijo que parecía «la alcaldesa» después de firmar un contrato por nueve ATR72-600 en su primer día sin incluso cuestionando la decisión.
