David L. Calhoun es nombrado Presidente y CEO The Boeing Company
Lawrence W. Kellner se convertirá en Presidente de la Junta del nuevo liderazgo para traer un compromiso renovado a la transparencia y una mejor comunicación con los reguladores y los clientes para devolver de forma segura el Boeing 737 MAX al servicio.
The Boeing Company anunció el 23 Diciembre 2019 que su Junta Directiva nombró al actual Presidente, David L. Calhoun, como Director Ejecutivo y Presidente, a partir del 13 Enero 2020. El Sr. David Calhoun seguirá siendo miembro de la Junta. Además, el miembro de la Junta Lawrence W. Kellner pasará a ser Presidente no Ejecutivo de la Junta con efecto inmediato.
La Compañía también anunció que Dennis A. Muilenburg renunció a sus cargos como Director Ejecutivo y Director de la Junta con efecto inmediato. El Director Financiero de Boeing, Greg Smith, se desempeñará como CEO interino durante el breve período de transición.
El Consejo de Administración decidió que era necesario un cambio de liderazgo para restaurar la confianza en el avance de la compañía aerospacial a medida que trabaja para reparar las relaciones con los reguladores, los clientes y todas las demás partes interesadas.

Boeing designa nuevo Vice-Comunicaciones
The Boeing Company nombró hoy a Niel Golightly como vicepresidente senior de Comunicaciones de la compañía, en vigencia a partir del 1 Enero 2020. Sucede a Anne Toulouse, quien previamente anunció sus planes de retirarse a principios de 2020.
Neil Golightly, de 61 años, informará inicialmente al CEO interino Greg Smith, y luego al Presidente y CEO David Calhoun a partir del 13 Enero 2020. Neil Golightly servirá en el Consejo Ejecutivo de la compañía y tendrá su sede en Chicago.

Neil Golightly se une a Boeing proveniente de Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), donde desde 2018 se desempeñó como Director de Comunicaciones Global. En ese cargo, fue responsable de desarrollar e implementar la estrategia global de comunicaciones corporativas de FCA, supervisar las relaciones con los medios, el liderazgo y las comunicaciones de los empleados, y trabajar junto con el CEO y el equipo de liderazgo de la compañía. Neil Golightly tiene 25 años de experiencia en comunicación y estrategia, desempeñando roles de liderazgo en una serie de grandes empresas industriales globales, incluidas FCA, Royal Dutch Shell y Ford Motor Company. Boeing announces leadership changes
David L. Calhoun is appointed President and CEO The Boeing Company
Lawrence W. Kellner will become Chairman of the Board of the new leadership to bring a renewed commitment to transparency and better communication with regulators and customers to safely return the Boeing 737 MAX to service.
The Boeing Company announced on December 23, 2019, that its Board of Directors appointed the current President, David L. Calhoun, as Executive Director and President, as of January 13, 2020. Mr. David Calhoun will remain a member of the Board. In addition, Board member Lawrence W. Kellner will become non-Executive Chairman of the Board with immediate effect.
The Company also announced that Dennis A. Muilenburg resigned as Executive Director and Director of the Board with immediate effect. Boeing Chief Financial Officer Greg Smith will serve as interim CEO during the short transition period.
The Board of Directors decided that a change of leadership was necessary to restore confidence in the progress of the aerospace company as it works to repair relations with regulators, customers, and all other interested parties.
Under the new leadership of the Company, Boeing will operate with a renewed commitment to full transparency, including effective and proactive communication with the FAA, other global regulators, and their customers.

Boeing appoints new Vice-Communications
The Boeing Company named Niel Golightly today as senior vice president of Communications for the company, effective as of January 1, 2020. He succeeds Anne Toulouse, who previously announced plans to retire in early 2020.
Neil Golightly, 61, will initially report to interim CEO Greg Smith, and then to President and CEO David Calhoun from January 13, 2020. Neil Golightly will serve on the company’s Executive Board and will be based in Chicago.

Neil Golightly joins Boeing from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), where since 2018 he has served as Global Communications Director. In that role, he was responsible for developing and implementing FCA’s global corporate communications strategy, overseeing media relations, leadership and employee communications, and working together with the company’s CEO and leadership team. Neil Golightly has 25 years of experience in communication and strategy, playing leadership roles in a number of large global industrial companies, including FCA, Royal Dutch Shell, and Ford Motor Company. Prior to his corporate experience, Nil Golightly served for 14 years in the US Navy, including as a combat pilot and speechwriter for the Secretary of the Navy and the President of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He received a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Cornell University and later studied at the University of Constance in Germany as a fellow of the Olmsted Navy.
